The Welcome Dinner:  

What It Is:
All wedding attendees are invited to join us for an optional welcome dinner on Friday, October 16th at 8 p.m. A full meal and wine will be provided. If you would like to join us for drinks and socializing beforehand, Zach and I will be  in the Club Room beginning at 7 p.m. 

Venue:
Dinner will take place at The Dome, located on 14 George Street. We will eat in the Georgian Tea Room, while optional pre-dinner drinks will be held in the Club Room.

The Wedding:

Venue:
The wedding will take place at Borthwick Castle. Built in 1430, Borthwick is one of the most well-preserved 15th century keeps in Scotland. However, what it's really known for is providing refuge to Mary Queen of Scots after her husband was murdered. When the castle was eventually surrounded by her enemies, she dressed up as a page boy to escape. Borthwick is, quite frankly, a really cool piece of history, and we are so excited to be getting married there!

Dress Code:
This will be a Black Tie event. We ask that guests wear a tuxedo, a floor-length gown, or a formal jumpsuit. Feel free get creative with it, and wear whatever makes you feel your absolute best! Transportation:
Transportation to and from the venue will be provided. A hired coach will pick everyone up from XX Hotel at XX Time. The same coach will take everyone home at the end of the night. For more details, please see the Travel & Stay page.

Accessibility:
Unfortunately, because the castle was built in the 15th century, there are no elevators or ramps on the premises. This event will also require guests to climb multiple flights of spiral staircases, so please keep that in mind when hemming your gowns and choosing your footwear for the evening. If you're concerned about mobility for any reason, please contact us to discuss possible solutions.

Dietary Restrictions:
Dietary restrictions can be accommodated. Please make a note of your particular requirements when you RSVP.

Alcohol:
There will be a full-service open bar that serves cocktails, liquor, beer, cider, soft drinks, and coffee. Wine will be provided with dinner service. No outside alcohol is permitted on the premises.
